So, I've been getting into the biohacking field lately and was wondering, who on SL uses smart drugs and what are your stacks like. Personally I tend to take a stack of Noopept, L-Theanine, and Choline. Yes, its a bit of a weird stack, but for those of you who use nootropics (if theres many people but me), what are your thoughts on my stack, and what does yours look like.

This stuff interests me, but I have no real understanding of it so it's on my list of shit to do. Does it actually do anything, or is it placebo?

I tried noopept once, didn't do shit for me, a few friends tried it and went well for them, I'm either guessing it's hit and miss or I got a dud batch.

I found this on the web somewhere.

Quote:In essence, it appears to be a buffed up version of Piracetam. Piracetam itself had pretty weak evidence for cognitive enhancement in healthy persons (where it occurred, but fairly unreliably so and not to a large degree) and although Noopept has potential to succeed where Piracetam failed this needs to be investigated further.

It doesn't seem worthwhile to experiment with.

You might as well just get prescribed Adderall, from what I've heard. A couple of our previous members swore Nootropics worked, though.

I tried Adderall once, and I about worked myself to death. Mainly what it did for me was increase my work ethic so freakin much that I cleaned my whole house. Then slept for more than a day (24+ hours). Maybe my body had intolerance to it, I don't know. I know L-Theanine + Caffeine works well when I got no sleep and have a whole day of school. The noopept...eh its not having much of an effect, but considering it was only like $5 with shipping from Powder City, its not really a problem.

o-o the headaches thought...before or without the CDP Choline I started adding.

@Megan , where did you get the noopept from xD.

And of course, since we dont really know what it does and how exactly it works with the brain, it could very well be a placebo effect. But even if it is, I've never been able to get the outcomes of using Noopept without it. So, we'll see how it goes.

I believe It's a case-by-case scenario.

It may not work for one Individual, but work for another and vice-versa. The only way to find out Is to give It a shot. I personally have never tried It and probably never will.

I used to do near-lethal dosages of amphetamines back in the day (tolerance), it's the main reason I got off my ass and got certifications and a university degree. I should also note I was severely depressed when I did this, so, don't think you need to drug yourself up to pass the exams! I just kind of had to.

I never really heard of nootropics before. This article talks about two popular nootropics compounds, caffeine and L-theanine which are found in small amounts in coffee and green tea.

"The basic idea about caffeine effects is that it can improve your motivation and focus by increasing catecholamine signaling. Its effects can be dampened over time, however, as you start to build a caffeine tolerance. Research on L-theanine, a common amino acid, suggests it promotes neuronal health and can decrease the incidence of cold and flu symptoms by strengthening the immune system. "

I ordered a bottle of Nootrobox's Sprint https://nootrobox.com/sprint once to give nootropics a shot, but it didnt do anything for me. Maybe I got a bad batch as someone here already said or maybe I need to try a different one, idk. I'm willing to try again in the future though.
