Might have been because the promotion system runs every minute or two. So it just takes time to take effect on your account.

Just made a help desk thread to test, can you close it?
I figure the reason that the sig isn't in the original thread up there is because it took a bit for the effect to happen, and I changed my signature after I made the thread.
