Sinisterly's Next Big Move (or Moves) #1
Sinisterly's Next Big Move (or Moves)

Initially when I made Sinisterly, I intended for it to remain a compact and high-quality board. Sinisterly was started by a small group of people that had the same goals. I still have the same intent and I plan to make the forum invitation-only. Certain users, posts, and sections will be pruned. This will, without a doubt, be a big move for the forum.

Those who have been loyal to the forum and contributed in the past are urged to come back and assist in the progression of the forum. Without a doubt, invitation systems have flaws. I plan to work with these flaws and ensure that the forum runs as it always has, while making necessary improvements. I won't spoil too much, but read on!

A Few Improvements

Invite-only. The invitation system is currently being developed. I can't release detailed information, but I will let you know more in the future. The majority of current members will be allowed to stay after the transition, although a few select individuals will be removed from the community completely.

Game servers. One thing we've lacked is a solid gaming community. All of us play games, but we rarely play them together. I have acquired a Minecraft server and it is currently being set up for the forum. I plan to add other gameservers into the mix to allow for a positive gaming experience. Some servers will also be public too!

Sinisterly Points. The economy works, but it doesn't reward people in the right manner. Someone who makes a high-quality tutorial receives the same amount of SP as someone who makes a post in the Lounge. That's not right, is it? I plan to improve the forum's economy and make its presence much more meaningful. It is likely I will open up payments for SP soon as well, since people have been asking for it.

TL;DR

I plan to make the forum invite-only, add gameservers, and improve the forum's virtual economy. Much more is also in store.

I bet this will be a good improvement.

I can't wait!
A few questions:

> Will griefing be tolerated on the Minecraft server?
> Will guest browsing be disabled?
> Will the removed users include eop?

RE: Sinisterly's Next Big Move (or Moves) #4
Well I know I haven't been on in a while, but hope that doesn't include me in the removed persons list.

Quick question. How are the game servers going to be "pubic"?

Obviously they'll be a little hairy.

Oh dear, clearly I meant public. I wrote this really late at night. Apologies.

Hopefully this will be a good move, and not backfire.

Also, forgot to mention. I'll be clearing out users with less than 5 posts. Make sure you have at least 5 posts. I already deleted quite a few .
