Showing User's Display Group on Postbit #1
Hi guys. It's my first documentation here. This will show you how to display a user's primary group in a theme's postbit.

Steps:
  • Login to your Forum's ACP.
  • Go to Themes & Templates Tab
  • Click on Templates
  • Select the theme whose template you want to modify.
  • Expand the postbit templates
  • Open postbit_author_user
  • Replace the contents with:
    Code:
    {$lang->postbit_posts} {$post['postnum']}<br /> {$lang->postbit_joined} {$post['userregdate']}<br /> Group:<b> {$lang->primary_usergroup}{$usergroup['title']}</b> {$post['replink']}{$post['warninglevel']}
    or just add this to your existing one:
    Code:
    Group:<b> {$lang->primary_usergroup}{$usergroup['title']}</b>
  • Save it and you're done

Thanks for reading.

Good tutorial, although somewhat redundant I feel. Particularly if you have rank images and the additional usergroups plugin. :p

It's not like Additional Groups.

Didn't say it was. Was just noting its redundancy if you've got such plugins. Smile

This.
I see no particular need for it unless you don't wish to have a group image.
