A tip of mine is that I wouldn't invest in a high price laptop for heavy work like Photoshop or effects unless you truly believe you need those utilities on the go.

I would buy parts and build my own PC, and spend a hundred bucks or so on a Chromebook for school. Since it can run everything perfectly fine.
