Apple products are generally ok, but you always have to purchase their genuine cords etc. You'll certainly dish out more money than they're with in the long run.

I agree with Oni - I'm actually using a lenovo laptop now and I love this machine. The only thing I'd change about it, is I'd get a more powerful Lenovo - Do-able since their prices and build quality are good.
