I've heard about APB and how it's taken the P2W route, but out of curiosity, how exactly is it P2W?
Never played it, just curious.

The guns scale in effectiveness, and the only really effective guns at certain points are ones you have to pay for, otherwise everyone else has better guns than you. Same with cars, faster and better ones you have to purchase.

Paying allows you to have basically unlimited creative restrictions with your character as well, so most people who pay are people with beasty computers anyways, meaning that they can handle high file sized character files, whereas anyone with a decent or lower computer has to deal with extreme lag.
It also affects the set server FPS as well, giving them a slight advantage.
