Series ideas? How to make a cryptocurrency, and others 11-28-2017, 04:02 AM

Hello everyone, I think I'm back, and now I have "One year of service" Â
Before anyone brings it up, I will finish the Brainfuck series. Â I will likely not finish the OS review series.
I was explaining how Bitcoin works to someone on the SL Discord server, since they said they didn't know. Â Later, I got a DM from someone else saying that they really liked my explanation.
So... Here I am. Â I'm thinking of making a series on creating a cryptocurrency. Â In it, I'll explain how Bitcoin works, 'proof of work', and alternatives (including one that I recently came up with). By the end of this, you should be able to make a full cryptocurrency, with mining, a blockchain, and P2P networking.
I'm not sure what language to do it in, maybe Rust, or something odd like Scala, or if I want to make it purely theoretical
This will probably be in C or NASM if it happens, so you can get the best performance and you don't have to suffer from Python's sluggish speed.
This is a nice way to kill boredom while making nice simple scripting languages. Â I'll make it Lisp if I think I have time, otherwise BASIC. Â I'd go through how to parse languages that have a concrete structure, and have you implement if statements, while loops or GOTO, basic I/O, and Math functions.
I like calculators, and I'm only leaving this as an option in case someone actually wants this. Â I'd go through the basics, and get you to be able to write things like Brainfuck interpreters when you get bored and have a calculator on you. Â I'll also go through basic 2d game physics, and might have you make a 1 player PONG-style game.
Anything that you want but don't see here? If you have any ideas, please post them below.
There you go, 2-4ish choices.

Option 1: How to make a crypto-currency

Option 2: How to make a BASIC or Lisp interpreter

Option 3: Intro to TI-BASIC
I like calculators, and I'm only leaving this as an option in case someone actually wants this.
