Look Into everything I mentioned above, particularly the "fingerprinting" side of It. Simply disabling JavaScript In your browser, takes care of heaps. It's way beyond the scope of this post to document a tutorial.
Here's a few simple recommendations:
* Use a secure web browser such as
Epic Privacy Browser. For added anonymity, this has a built-In proxy.
* Google knows just about everything you do online, so avoid using Google's services (Android OS & related apps, Google's search engine etc).
* Using some services by Google are Inevitable, so do NOT log Into your Google account (Gmail) and "remain" logged In. Google uses your Gmail account to Identify you "whilst logged In".
* Check your activity settings In your Google account- you can control what gets saved.
* Check all privacy settings In Google My Activity (of your Google account), and disable/delete those that track you.
* Use any of the below private search engines:
MetaGer- This has a built-In proxy that allows you to open link anonymously. Navigate via Tor using this search engine.
StartPage.
Epic Search Engine.
Disconnect.me
* Change your browser's user agent string to something completely different to what you're using. It also masks your operating system. Here's a huge
list of strings.
* To prevent your screen resolution from being leaked, change It using a tool named
Multilogin App.
These are the very basics and a good starting point.
