Little known secret, but I have Derealization Disorder (DRD). It's similar to MPD in that I get " disconnected from reality but I don't ever switch personalities. Honestly it's a bit frustrating and usually I can ride it out but until then it's just like everyone describes. Best way for me to describe is to imagine you're watching a movie and nothing feels connected for lack of a better term.

I know how that feels. I've experienced some symptoms that make me think that I might have schizophrenia. One of them is just how often nothing feels real.
