Hi everyone,

sadly I got scammed by one of our peers here. In this forum here on Sinister he names himself "DHL".  In Telegram he named himself "exodus" and "exodusmedia" or "exodus.media".

I take full responsibility like an adult, but want to warn all of you. As far as I am informed now, after texting with some other people on Telegram, he has already scammed many people.

He is german. He might reveal himself by saying something like "Look, mothered's methods might be good to play around but you can't make real money that way, it's just basics."

He might say "I have API access for DHL and Amazon and many others."

He told me all that. He told me that he would teach me stuff. When I asked him why he said it gets boring sometimes.

I was too naive and didn't take full logs or screenshots of our whole chat or anything actually. He wanted to chat in a private chat in Telegram right away and I just thought it's common sense when texting about such stuff.

I paid him $700 because he told me he would refund my apple order. He said it took him 2 days to get a full refund himself.

Then I paid him $500 because he told me he would put me into a Telegram group where I learn everything and learn how to refund stuff for myself using an API etc.

He even wanted me to order more stuff and he was a bit pushy about it, so I waited until I would see if he would walk the talk regarding his promises. He didn't. He had an excuse one after another. He told me that police is trying to get him and that this would be the reason why he deleted his Telegram account.

He knew I have a kid, he knew I have lots of debt personally, he knew that I have a rough time. And he still does this. Sometimes I really wonder how people can make other people suffer so much. Why we treat each other like this is a miracle to me. Also, as far as I'm concerned, he does not go through a rough time whatsoever. He was joking a lot, being funny, being chill, being a know it all... I feel like I got scammed by a very malicious kid.

I opened a new thread here in this forum to deal with the 2 macbooks I had laying around. I texted him and he answered this (translated from german to english):

Hello,
I already wrote you a message yesterday that I got a police summons, but your refunds are still working. I think it's a real shame of you to drag my reputation through the mud like this. As soon as I get through with all the stuff and the police I will contact you again. I just had to make sure my phone was clean - no desire to go to jail.

I answered his message and basically told him that if I acted to quickly and just got scared and if he keeps his promises, I will let everyone here know that I'm a little pu$$y. But after some days without any sign I asked him what happens next. He sent me this (translated from german to english):
