A co-worker recently spent a week in SK for work and commented on how great the trip was. Unless this is some sort of distraction keeping eyes off of larger news I guess he dodged a bullet… any opinions on the situation?

Asides from the president hastily declaring martial law, I don't think it's a bad place to visit. There's some protests, but they seem peaceful in nature.
