What is Envoy?

Good question, person that isn't me! Envoy is a custom-made Ruby plugin for Windows! A while ago, I had the half-assed idea to try making my own Gem and it eventually turned into this. It's one of my bigger Ruby projects and I'm quite proud of it.

System Requirements:

  • Windows XP or later (7 or 8.1 recommended)
  • Ruby 2.0 or later (2.1.0 recommended)

Features:

Code:
main: e_datetime() - date/time commands datefull_american - full american date format(month/day/year) datefull_metric - full metric date format(day/month/year) datefull_scientific - scientific date(year/day/month) date_american - american date format(month/day) date_metric - metric date format(day/month) time - time (unflagged, hour:minute) -hr - time (hour) -hms - time (hour:minute.second) c - current time/date e_io(value, prompt, flag) - streamlined I/O -s - string input -i - integer input -f - float input -a - array input e_req(dir) - require directory e_auth(-flag) - request user login or registration -l - login -r - register e_arraytrim(array) - remove array duplicates e_rng(num) - creates a "num"-value random number array e_fopen(file, -flag) - opens file with desired flag administrative: e_list(fpath) - user management w/ value output to log file e_search(path, pattern) - search "path" for files matching "pattern" e_f(fpath, type, action) - file controls type; -d - directory/folder type; -f - file action; -r - remove/delete action; -c - create e_fstat(identifier, file) - file statistics cmd.exe integration: e_c - clears the console e_site(url) - opens webpage in default browser e_ping(ip) - ping "ip" 16 times, sending 64 bytes per ping e_title(title) - set session title

Examples:

Code:
require 'Envoy' e_site("https://sinister.ly") => starts this f*ckin' site puts "It is currently " + e_datetime("metric") + "; " + e_datetime("time") => It is currently 7/5; 19:50 e_io(0, "Enter your name:", "-s") end user=> Touka puts $e_io[0] => Touka

Download:

Download: mega
VS: VirusTotal

Installation:

  1. Navigate to your version's lib folder (default path for 2.1.0 is C:\Ruby-21x64\lib\ruby\2.1.0\)
  2. Unzip the Envoy.zip archive to said location
  3. Done!

Usage:

Just include require 'Envoy/<module>' at the start of the program (modules are admin, cmd, and main for administrative, command line integration, and main, respectively).

Will update when I can!

don't have much in the first place, who feel the new currents and ride them the farthest.
