Rooting your Samsung Galaxy S3 (Linux & OS X)
There are many ways to root your Samsung Galaxy and other devices in Linux & Os X, but this exploit is by far the easiest & most noob-friendly method.
If you are running any version of Windows, this is NOT for you.
First and foremost, you'll need to download AG QuickRoot.zip which contains all the files you'll need to root your device. Click here to download or visit autonomousgeeks.com/downloads if the link becomes broken for any reason.
Next you'll have to enable Debugging Mode on your android device. To do so, go to your phone's settings, scroll all the way down to Developer Options & toggle the switch beside USB Debugging Mode (Galaxy S3 users, you may need to tap 'Developer Options' at the top up to 10 times until it reads “You are now a developer!”)
Now plug in your device via USB data cable, & select Charge Only if prompted.
Open a terminal windows & type;
Follow the instructions on the screen until you get a success message & your device reboots.

Devices this has been tested on: Samsung Galaxy S, Samsung Galaxy S3, Samsung Galaxy Precedent, LG Ally, LG Optimus L9, LG Optimus P950, HTC Sensation 4G, HTC Incredible, HTC Incredible II
