Remake Movies That Disappointed You? #1
What are some of the remake movies that disappointed you?

I personally found 'The Mummy' remake in 2017 forgettable and unnecessary. The original trilogy was smart, funny, action-packed, and was actually good!

Psycho (1998).

They tried to replicate the original, but failed miserably.

How did Gus Van Sant get the green light/financing for this? That is the real question.

Precisely.

I don't watch movies nowadays but when I did, I always compared the remake to the original. This was a complete failure.

Yes, remakes with excellent ratings, particularly those that're better than the original are few and far between.

I hope that the new Lord of the rings TV show doesn't disappoint.  The Hobbit was ok, but it wasn't as nearly as good as LOTR was. It had its moments, but you never had the moments like when Aragorn finally became the king of Gondor and fulfilled his destiny. The battle between men and orcs for Minas Tirith is one of the best battles I've ever seen on TV. Game of Thrones was close with their battle of the bastards, but LOTR was more epic.
We will see what the new TV show has to offer when it finally airs, but I hope it's something good. I know they've spent a lot of money on the show, and it has to be good.
