Reiteration of Rules (with regards to Social Engineering)
It has recently come to my attention that people were selling stolen items and items resulting from warranty fraud. We've never allowed these types of transactions and we do not promote this type of behavior. Many of the of the transactions we learned of occurred on Discord, which we are unable to moderate on. We do not want the reputation or implications that come with allowing such content. Staff is encouraged to do their job, as usual.
As per our rules:
Quote:Posts involving financial fraud, identity theft, or any other blatantly illegal activities are not allowed. We don't care if you torrent music or movies, but we don't take federal crimes lightly. Take that discussion elsewhere.
These rules are for our protection and yours. Our host doesn't allow it and we don't want it here either.
All threads of this nature have been and will continue to be removed. That said, discussion of ideas and concepts of Social Engineering are (and will always be) allowed. There is a big difference between discussing an activity and actually partaking in it. It is against our forum's principles to encourage behavior that harms others and I want us to have a positive impact on the internet.
Follow the law.
