**update**

So during my install i must have clicked the "format partition" option because i managed to completely remove my win 8.. cleaver i know right.... lol

So after some messing around with boot options i managed to get the o.s cd to read and i have clean installed win8, (yes yes i know, amd if im honnest i prefer 7 too) i have also mangaed to put ubutu in the correct partition too and all is running fine.

Cheers again for all who advised me iv learnt enough to go and mess up somthing else now, il keep you all posted

i also got a kali linux quick guide in pdf format that goes quickly trough many of the common tool kali have that may help you along the way deciding what tools to get, since it's a file you need to PM me and i will send it to you:Grin:

no problems man, i usually try give a hand where possible, though that's not always possible... also, if i remember correctly, the PM system is disabled for new people so that's may be why...

I have read about 1/2 of that pdf, cheers mate i now have some direction.

Im gonna look at wifi hacks to begin with, this is both a usefull tool and the whole encription side of things really interests me so it seems like a good place to start :-)
