I'm not much of a gamer beyond every now and then I'll play some retro emulator games on my laptop. I just finally got a "real" controller (gamesit kaleid) and am interested in your recommendations on pc games I should try. I don't really care about storylines (they are mostly boring and poorly written imo) and also don't like games with overly complicated controls (starts to feel like work instead of relaxation). What are games of any genre that you would rate as highly fun and not very hard? My laptop is a Thinkpad P1 which isn't the fastest by gaming standards but it can do alright with most anything from the mid to late 2010s.

Most games these days will support a controller. But a recommendation would be doom eternal. Fast paced and great gun play.

If your laptop struggles with that hotline Miami 1/2 are fun.
