I like the simplicity of the image, but i think you went a little to way with the shadow on the lines.

Plain and simple, always cathes my eye.

I have multiple reasons to only give a 6.
First of all, why haven't you centered the text? Putting the only element that is there off-set makes it look very ugly.
Second of all, I feel you should've done more with the first letter. Just something like you did to the last letter, a simple but catching effect.
Third of all, I think the shadows on the top line are a bit off. That might just be my own opinion though.

it is quite nice, until you see how plain it really is, it is a light BG with a light text that makes it a little tough to read for me, and the text isn't even that catchy or awesome.

I like the way it's simple and sexy.
But it's too empty, try adding textures to the background maybe, with a low opacity.

I like it! It's a little bit monotonous for my personal liking, but from a 3rd party perspective you've really pulled it off in this piece. My only real gripe is the conflicting direction of hard drop shadow you have on the typography. On the letter closer to the left, the drop shadow is going to the right - suggesting a light source from the left - yet on the right, the drop shadow is going to left - suggesting a light source from the right - yet the only visible light source you have is coming from behind. It just doesn't make much sense! Also, for balance's sake, you should figure a way to equalize the subscript and superscript lines you have in place. The subscript line is cut off in order to make room for the bottom of your T, but the top one runs all the way across; it's a minor thing, but still relatively noticeable. Great work!
