I know it's a bad thing to ask for help on the second post, but I don't know how to contribute to the forum since you are all much more skilled than me, I plan to get better, then I will try my best to contribute
Anyway, I'm learning some basic hacking, lurking forums and completing challenges on challenge sites (more specifically: hackthis and hackthissite).
I recently found the OWASP Webgoat project, do you think it's a valid learning resource, or it's outdated/there are better learning platforms?
How did you learn what you know now? Which challenge sites/platforms/applications do you think are the best for that? (i'm the kinda guy who learns a lot better with practice)
Thanks in advance for every answer.
Its alright for learning the basics... After that I would recommend looking into some CTF's and trying your hands at those.
Make sure you really understand what is going on or it's all pretty pointless.
