Psychological anime recommendations #1
So I've recently turned towards the psychological genre of manga and anime and I was trying to find some great ones like Death Note, Psycho-Pass and Zankyou no Terror. I want a really intense plot that really goes places.

Thanks for your time and if you have any recommendations, please comment.

Check out Durarara, it's a really psychological anime with a great plot. Or give Code Geass a while, although that's not psychological but it has intense action.

I don't have a recommendation, but I just thought it was kinda funny that I read the thread title, and the first thing I thought was "Death Note." You've already been there/done that, so there goes my recommendation :p

I've heard Elfen Lied and Serial Experiments Lain are good ones. Not a big fan of either.

I absolutely loved Elfen Lied. I definitely recommend it. Oni just couldn't handle the nekkid bit in the first scene Wink I'm kidding. It has some comedic bits and the characters experience trauma so it can be quite heavy on but I'm sure you'll be fine if you've seen Death Note.

I would also recommend trying Another. I'm not sure if it could classify as a psychological anime.

I watched Chaos Head once.. I enjoyed it at the time but it's really kinda weird. The main character is a paranoid loner who loves his anime. Give it a go though.

Actually, I just didn't find myself too involved with the story, and had no particular attachment to the characters. It happens occasionally. Sometimes I'll go back and re-watch an anime I have dropped and end up changing my mind altogether.

I was joking :')

Although, I get that sometimes too. I know exactly what you mean. I got attached to the main character in this one quite early on so that definitely helped my interest.
