Psychological Anime Idea 03-02-2016, 08:27 PM

Okay, before you start to say "this is an overused idea" actually read a bit about it first.
So, all of the characters are in an MMO world at a first glance, it starts off with them fighting goblin warriors and a few archers.
Standard trapped in an MMO style, right?
Wrong.
All of the characters are disillusioned and have psychological issues, they all think they're in the same game though. So, it's a case of a mass hysteria in a sense. All of the goblins and archers, yeah. Those are animals and human beings they're killing. Throughout the story, they get random flashbacks of their "life back in the real world" but they think it's just a nightmare from their "old life". They stick together, and in the last few scenes, it shifts through each character fighting a different "End Boss". After they defeat it and they think they're released from the grasp of the video game, they snap back to reality and see just who they killed. For some, it'll be a younger sibling, for another possibly their spouse or child. And in the final scene, the last few seconds. You see each of them slowly fall to their knees and pick up the weapon they killed the person in front of them with - and the frames all start shifting together, right before they kill themselves, the anime cuts to static and ends.
You get the idea.
But, what are your thoughts about something like this? Is there an anime out already that's like that?
