Personally, I don't know why anyone would waste their time viewing this (In It's entirety).

The first 10 seconds was enough for me to establish a dislike.

this is why the world is so fucked up.

Is it only distasteful because a recent tragedy just made it relevant or is it innately distasteful?

Your response seems to justify only the former.

I don't get why everyone cares.

Like they are happy that they finally came out. Let them be happy. it doesn't affect you or me.

The "movement" is called ProudToBe, not HappyToBe. They are proud of something they have no control over, aka being born with a mental illness, and Youtube and Twitter are glorifying it. That's like me being proud because I was born with blue eyes. I'm myself every day, I wasn't aware you got awarded and congratulated for it. There is absolutely nothing special about being mentally ill, the fact that the media is condoning it and shoving it down everyone's throats is sickening. It actually does affect both of us when these people are making videos saying "we will be noticed and we will be heard." Sounds like what the Muslims said before they started tearing up Germany, and it's very similar to what a panelist said on the news in the UK talking about how Muslims will turn the UK black within the next century.

Furthermore, treatment of a mental illness is not letting the mentally ill people embrace their illness. What the media and society are doing is synonymous to me giving an alcoholic a fresh case of beer in order to treat their mental illness, which is obviously not the way to do it. These people need rehabilitation, either that or they need to stop shoving this dumb "genderqueer asexual non-binary" type shit down society's throat. Thanks bud.

It will make people think it's okay, not realize it's okay.

People just don't see it as being ok to want to be different.

No, it's actually opposite. Since when did seeing mental illness as being ok become the norm of society?

For the first time on this forum (that I can recall) I do agree with you.

I know a lot of people who suffer from mental Illness (bipolar, manic depression, psychosis etc) and It's a terrible disease that changes a person to a great degree. Anyone who picks on people with mental Illness, should be punished.
