Price my PC! #1
I've purchased a new computer hence the reason I need my old one priced. I'm not too tech savvy with pricing all the elements of a PC so I'll let you be the judge of what I should sell it for.

Spoiler:

  • 24'' ASUS Monitor
  • Corsair RBG K70 Keyboard

If there's any way I can increase the price of my pc please inform me, thanks in advance.

So you're planning on selling the whole thing, including the monitor and keyboard?

It sounds that way (not sure about the peripherals) since he asked if there is anything he could do to increase the price. I'd just look up PCs with similar specs and compare prices. Or you could calculate a price based on components?

In that case (No computer pun intended), I'll try and eyeball a price. To start off, no one even cares anymore about Sound Cards or Optical Drives, but they're a nice extra. As for the other components lets start with your CPU. The CPU you're rocking which is an i5 3570, which is a bit old and for an LGA1155 socket it's probably the best you can get. Onto the RAM, and you've got a great amount to balance everything out. Unfortunately, you don't have a graphics card, which is what a lot of people look for nowadays so we'll have to figure something out. Now last but not least, your storage which above average. 1.8 Terabytes can get you pretty far in today's era of thicc game file sizes. There's room for improvement in a lot of categories but it all boils down to how old the components are and then I can look into what you'll need to be upgrading before you sell.

Cpu: intel core i5-3570
Estimated Sell Price: 60$-70$

Ram: Unknown
Estimated sell price: 60$-120$ (price would be more accurate if i knew the model of ram)

Motherboard: Asus P8Z77
Estimated price: 150$-200$

Monitor
estimated price: 140-200$

keyboard
price: more or less 155$

Harddrive: 2TB(assuming due to files of the operating system and windows counting in 1024 instead of 1000)
Estimated Price: $20-50$

These are all estimated prices were I've gone on ebay looked at used parts with the details provided and tried to average out the price. It could be higher could be lower. $515 (averaged the estimated prices)

To Improve the value you can clean up your pc so it looks very nice and put some ads on craigslist or facebook market or even ebay. Put the price at higher than you think it can sell for and people will either buy it for that price or will ask to lower the price to near around the price you want.

More than I asked for and i appreciate that so much, this gives me a great estimate of what It could sell for. Most likely going to clean the entire thing up, make it look pretty and put it on a few sites for $600. These says ill get knocked down to around the $500-$550 mark which honestly Im absolutely cheering as I've already purchased my new PC. It's all profits for me.

Three years isn't that bad. You'd maybe have to buy a cheap motherboard that supports LGA1151 and a cheap CPU to go with it just for the upgradability, but then you'd need to buy RAM. Or you could find maybe a used GPU or a new cheap one like an RX 570 or 580.

Local Facebook marketplace, Gumtree & Ebay.

Unless you have any others that would be better!
