About PayPal:

PayPal is probably the most used and known global e-commerce business. It is a "safe" way to purchase items online with your credit card card, debit card or maybe even an e-check. Your details such as bank account number and CC number are never given out when making a purchase and thats why using PayPal is considered safe. Although this is one of the more popular payment methods there are many issues with it.

Pros:

• No monthly fees.
  
• Not only can you use credit cards but also checks.
  
• Fast payment process.
  
• You no longer have to enter credit card numbers on sites which helps avoid credit card fraud.
  
• It's an easy payment method to use.
  

Cons:

• Receiving money from a stolen credit card or phished account.
  
• Charge backs/Limitations.
  
• PayPal is difficult to reach and once you reach them they aren't much help.
  
• Investigations can take up to 6 months to get your money back.
  

Summary:

Personally I despise PayPal. After selling a gamertag for $150 and getting charged back/having my account limited, I'd never use PayPal again. This payment method sucks especially when you cant prove that you sold a virtual item(RSGP, Booters, Crypters, Gamertags). Not only did I lose out on that $150 but once my account was limited I was unable to get the $250 I had already had on my account. Being that forums mostly sells virtual items I'd suggest going with payment methods such as Liberty Reserve. Reason being is that customers can not charge back once a payment is made.

Is there a way to avoid charge backs? And does losing a dispute automatically limit your paypal, and is a limited paypal basically useless?

I will be using Paypal, just because it's a pretty universally used and supported. And I'm pretty sure I don't need to use an exchanger to transfer funds between the bank and paypal. You can correct me if I'm wrong.

Paypal sucks, don't use it. I don't advise using paypal at all.

I hate paypal, but after LR got shut down it is my only payment option that I know everypony use.

Well i don't like PayPal at all. But i have to like it as LR is dead.
