I've noticed that my post count always shows that I have made 9 posts and that number doesn't seem to increase.

But, when I search for my posts, I can only see 5 listed.

Why are you worrying about 9 posts? The counter doesn't need to be that accurate, just make some more posts and it'll catch up.

Now my post count shown is now increasing.

I'll have to keep checking it to see if I have any more problems.

There are likely some forums like the lounge where some posts aren't counted. this is pretty typical of forums.

You do have 7 posts that show up as public. this probably means one of the staff moved a thread in which you were active on to a private forum possibly?

but really - no one cares about your post count.

I was thinking that there may be a problem with the db merging and wanted to bring it to someone's attention.

Moved to the proper section - "Serious Discussion" is for the discussion of science, philosophy, religion, and politics.
As for your problem, it's likely due to the merge and your posts and threads having not been moved to their correct forum sections. There are also sections like "Random Discussion" that don't add to your post count.

So everything is all good now.
