I plan to keep us invitation only for at least another few days. However, the question remains if we should remain invite-only after this period of time.

I'm unsure of what to pick. Would be good to attract new users for activity but I'm nervous about getting shit posters after you just spent ages cleaning up. Newbs are good for activity and therefore the forum as long as it's in the sections that aren't just the lounge. As long as current members post interesting stuff, it can only be good to open the gates.

There is good and bad things with this.

Good:
1. You can target more high quality members with the invitation system.
2. Ban evasions will be pretty much impossible unless somehow they are mistaken and re-invited.
3. Random new low quality guests will not be able to join.
5. Spam bots will be gone.

Bad:
1. Activity may drop as there will not be many new members unless they are invited.
2. It might stop potentially good people from being able to join.

There has been successful invite only forums, there fall was due to lack of commitment.

Those are some things you personally will have to think of, and I am sure there is other good and bad things that I did not think of.

Invite only is the way to go I know I'm not as active but the last time,we were invite only I think it did more good then anything. Just my advice bro take it or not no hard feelings either way.

I think we'll probably take it off after a few days, although it seems to be working quite well. Anyone that wants to join for the time being will need to use an invitation code.

Voted Yes on the merit of an invite only system outweighs the short term disadvantages in the overall long term scheme of things.

I think that this forum needs more members before it can be invitational. However, it's a good thing to have temporarily in bad situations.

I believe I joined the site off an invite. Though I may be wrong, I thought it was once invite only. Anyway though-

New people should be given the chance to join, and the staff should be given the chance to do their jobs. How I see it I suppose.
