What kind of check could they do though? There's no easy way to check someone's mental health from what I can tell. "Sir, are you suicidal or do you suffer from claustrophobia?" xD

I really don't know lol. I'm sure the gov would find some measurement to apply. Don't you think? I mean, maybe one time isn't enough to warrant new policy, but I could see it happening if it were occurring more often.

I'm not against the new policy idea. It's just the logistical and practical way of doing it that's the challenge. I don't think the government would have any kind of measurement. That sort of thing would be science led anyway, but I'd imagine any such measurement would also be used to help combat issues like the mental health around mass shooters, terrorists and the like. It also depends on which government as well, I suppose.

Can you imagine the news drama that would be if a new security measure was released that looks into travelers mental health?

Majority of suicidal people don't choose skydiving as their way out, either. Tongue

No kidding. Although, one of the issues they had was that flight attendants were strapped into their seats for landing. Had they been at cruising height, they would have been able to intercede more easily.
