There was a very particular style of DDOS attack just now, it was mitigated.

Ah, sounds clever enough. I've always shot Nikon, so a Canon would be awful for me ^^

Yeah, same here but vise versa. It would be difficult making the switch.

So I bought this camera.. long time ago.. uh it's the http://www.amazon.com/Sony-Cyber-shot-DS...B001OI2LV8 I'm not really sure how to use it or even take good photos, no clue what to use it for, its been sitting in a case with 2 battery's for about a good 2 years now. I bought it because I need a good action camera? *before go pro* when I was doing gymnastics. I think SLR Is the best for photo's? I'm not really sure.

I'd like to get into photography but I wouldn't know where to start?
Any tips? Such as the equipment (Camera, lenses, stands etc.) and ease of use for a beginner

Get yourself about £500. And just go out and get used to your camera. Then read up on technical terms (Aperture, shutter speed, ISO, focus).

I wouldn't know what camera would be good for my money compared to others.
