Apple is going far down. I'm not sure how you guys don't see it. Just take a look at their recent history. Samsung outsold Apple in smartphones last year. Apple won this year with their colorful 5c and new 5s, but the fact that they have yet to really release any "new" products. The new OSX Mavericks looks great for their Macs, but that's really the only thing that impressed me from Apple. All they do is either make their devices smaller, or faster. I never see anything innovative from them besides that.

If Phonebloks actually takes off and I think they will with the strong company Motorola behind them, I have a feeling Apple is going to fall apart into just another company. Granted they've had an amazing history, but now they're dwindling down into the "mediocre" companies. It's like when professional sports players get older. They're still great, but now they're just starting to get old and they have nothing left. That's Apple. If I had to make a comparison, it's like A-Rod's career, but without the steroids.

This is true, if they release another iPhone/iPod with hardly any 'new' features to it and just simple upgrades, I don't think they're going to sell as much. I reckon this is their peak that they're reaching and from here it will go down if they don't change.

Their computers are great, don't get me wrong. However, most people don't have money to throw like that on a computer, not to mention computer savvy individuals will most likely build a custom tower instead of a Mac due to the performance : price ratio.

I'd personally never buy an Apple computer. Mostly because it is basically paying for a brand.
I'd much rather build my own, like you said.
