Yea I personally am in the budget range and it took me time to get all of my knives but eventually I go them.

The Mora Companion HD is a very affordable knife, it is tough but it is not full-tang which means it could fail under heavier tasks that may need to be done. However people have been beating the shit out of Mora knives for 10+ years and they held up. Personally ill choose full-tang over rat rail tang but I got them both because a Mora is hard for me to pass up.

I must say, prior to reading your posts, I knew very little about knives.
