Overwatch WC group stages announced #1
Blizzard just announced the locations and country rosters for the first Overwatch World Cup, and holy shit it made it to TSN. The dates haven't been announced yet, but is anyone thinking about going?

Also, RIP the dream for Canada. South Korea and Russia are going to wipe the floor with everyone else at Katowice.
It's often the outcasts, the iconoclasts ... those who have the least to lose because they
don't have much in the first place, who feel the new currents and ride them the farthest.

As an unrelated side-note, I still find it hilarious how Poland (Katowice) is still prime-stage for competitions much of the time. I've been seeing it everywhere, lol.

Polska Kroluje

Though I suppose it's a good place, since it's right in the middle of Europe.

I am expecting the finals to be some combo of Korea/China/Japan/Russia?, though. Nevertheless it will be fun to watch

EDIT: LOL Poland is in a bracket with South Korea.

Overwatch is one of the very few esports-level competitive games where North American and European teams stand a chance against Asian teams. It might be because it's a newer game, but it really levels the playing field. If the tournament at Blizzcon meant anything, my picks are as follows. I know Canada is well and truly fucked, so I'm rooting for Sweden (incredible potential, lost the Blizzcon final to Korea 3-1) after groups.

A - China
B - Denmark
C - Sweden
D - Japan
E - South Korea
F - Russia
G - United States
H - Germany

That sounds like a solid bracket, I would agree

I'm looking forward to the Cosplay at the finals. Should be pretty good considering it's a global event.
