I personally think this looks like shit. Although I have to give you credit. Took me almost 30 seconds to realize it was made on that shit engine, Unijew, which is usually pretty easy, considering the cartoony look and shit light system that horrible closed source engine Unity has. Might just be that I'm not entierly familiar with Unity 5..

The fact that you call yourself 'indie' makes me cringe extremely hard, and I wish you all the bad luck in the world. Your game is shit, and so are you.

Trolling or not, I hope you realize the definition of the word "indie".

Indie means their game is too shit to get with an actual publisher, which is okay in some instances. But the fact that he carries indie around like a badge of honor, is just gay as shit.

I finally figured out why it took me so long to see it was Unijew. He didn't even use any of the proper tools of a modern engine. I'm pretty sure OP is the first person that doesn't use Source, that doesn't have in-depth normal maps for all his textures. Looks disgusting and flat. Ugh.

If you think the word indie means that then I would suggest rethinking everything because I think your other ideas and definitions are most likely also to be as dumb.

As I said in my above comment, indie; short for independent, is an excuse for little faggots that made a shit game and can't get with a publisher. Honestly, in 2014, who the fuck wants to go out of pocket to develop anything anymore? That's just stupid.

I don't think you know how much time and effort goes into creating stuff not just games. You referred to people making their own content "faggots", when you go with publisher you are often restricted on what you make and the publisher has a lot of say in what you make, effectively your no longer making what you want but rather the best thing for the market. Making a game is also showing your skill because you get your name attached to the game. Unlike CoD developers who are not known by CoD players. Making your own game can be to make money off but also shows other developers of what you can make, showcasing your skill and dedication as well as effort. Quite a lot of recent popular games are made by indie developers that had great success.

To be fair, I've never actually been with a large publisher like EA or HP that get huge backlash if the contents of their games is bad, but that is absolutely bullshit. I've worked on 2 larger projects in the past 9 years, and although we weren't allowed to go outside of the already established boundaries(eg, porn), we had no real restrictions, didn't have to go through disgusting programs like greenlight(or whatever the equivalent to that was at the time), got paid pre-set (as part of our contract with them) salaries, as well as grants for licensing third party software and technologies.

As for adding your name to a brand, that's also bs, unless you're doing it solo, which is just stupid. Take Interceptor for example. I had no idea who any of them were before I met up with some of their developers in a group chat to disguss some future collaboration. Even smaller projects like 'Minecraft' has this issue. As of right now, I'm pretty sure people that didn't buy into it back in development doesn't even know the name of the company that's developing it.

Besides, I don't know a single actually good game that has come out of the indie community that isn't a total rip off of previous titles made by triple-A companies.
