Studio Ghibli Recommendations #1
What Studio Ghibli animations would you recommend?

Since I was a kid I'd been planning to "someday watch those Ghibli productions" and have finally decided to sit down and watch them in my adult life. So far I've seen Spirited Away, which I loved.

What would you recommend as the top 3 to watch?

There's too many to choose from!

It's great that this is exactly my favorite topic. My favorite is Spirited Away. However, in my opinion, I do not like the ending very much because it is an open ending. The second film is Howl's Moving Castle and the next one will be Princess Mononoke. It conveys the message of friendship, love, and life in a positive and gentle way.

I've always wanted to watch Studio Ghibli animation because it's quite popular in Japan, unfortunately I get bored quite quickly. But thanks to you, I'll try to watch Spirited Away.

I really enjoyed Spirited Away, although I think I agree about the ending. I wanted there to be some surefire thing where she runs back and visits them later on or something. What a great film, though.

I've now seen all three of those! I liked them all!

I didn't realise at first that Howl's Moving Castle was based on a story from a British Novelist. That explained a lot of the aesthetics.

Definitely give it a go! Because they're movies, it's quite easy to watch as they're only about an hour and half for most of them. I was the same as you though, always wanted to see them but never put aside the time. I'd love to know what you think of Spirited Away!

oh that's so sweet! It would probably have been the same for me if I'd seen it when I was young.
