One Week Friends Review #1
I know I haven't posted a review in a while, but I have some free time now, so I'm gonna post a relatively short one. (Sorry, I'll have more done in a few days, going through some IRL stuffs.)

One Week Friends

Synopsis
Kaori Fujimiya is always alone because all of her happy memories, including time spent with her friends, disappear every Monday. Deciding that he wants to be friends with her anyway, Yuuki Hase tries to get close to Kaori each week, wishing that she would one day call him “a friend”.

Plot[/size]
The plot is very original in many ways, in which I think makes the series even better. Cushty-Sama has seen plenty of anime, and this is pretty much the first time watching an anime that deals with a girl in this condition. The way they handle their problems, or the way they are together can just warm anyone's heart. They overcome so many obstacles in the story, and the way they talk to each other just makes me so happy I just want to JEFPJWEJF. They care a lot for each other, and it's stated in very fine print in this plot.
My rating for this plot: 9/10

Characters

Main Characters
Spoiler:
Yūki Hase (長谷 祐樹 Hase Yūki)
Voiced by: Yoshitaka Yamaya
Yūki is a high school second year student who's interested in making friends with an isolated classmate, Kaori Fujimiya. Despite having Kaori forget about him every week, he never ceases working hard to earn her smile. He's weak in mathematics.

Kaori Fujimiya (藤宮 香織 Fujimiya Kaori)
Voiced by: Sora Amamiya
Kaori is Yūki's classmate who choose to not make any friends as she would forget memories concerning friends every week. She used to be popular in school, but has since experienced a car accident that affected her memory. She decides to keep a diary after it was suggested by Yūki to record her experiences. This helps her to become more and more familiar with Yūki, to the point of just barely remembering him. She had made a promise to meet up with her childhood friend, Hajime Kujō some time in the past but was unable to because of the accident. Her mother suggests that to an extent, she may be repressing her own memories. She is quite good in mathematics as compared to Yūki, and often helps him with his studies.

Shōgo Kiryū (桐生 将吾 Kiryū Shōgo)
Voiced by: Yoshimasa Hosoya
Shōgo is Yūki's reliable best friend with good grades. He appears as a cold person who's straightforward with words, and often sleeps in class while treating everything else as a bother.

Saki Yamagishi (山岸 沙希 Yamagishi Saki)
Voiced by: Rumi Ōkubo
Saki is a clumsy and forgetful girl in their class who used to be Shōgo's primary school classmate. She used to be bullied due to her small stature in primary school, and has since depended on others for all matters.

Hajime Kujō (九条 一 Kujō Hajime)
Voiced by: Shintarō Asanuma
Hajime is a transfer student during the second semester who is Kaori's primary school classmate. He and Kaori promised to meet in the park the day before he transferred to Hokkaido, to which Kaori never fulfilled due to her accident. His family has strict demands on him, to the point where he isn't allowed to buy games.

Classmates
Spoiler:
Maiko Serizawa (芹澤 舞子 Serizawa Maiko)
Voiced by: Asuka Kakumoto
Maiko is Saki's friend who often spoils her.

Ai Nishimura (西村 藍 Nishimura Ai)
Voiced by: Rui Tanabe
Ai is Saki's friend who is a good coordinator.

Others
Spoiler:
Shiho Fujimiya (藤宮 志穂 Fujimiya Shiho)
Voiced by: Mai Nakahara
Shiho is Kaori's mother.

Jun Inoue (井上 潤 Inoue Jun)
Voiced by: Junji Majima
Jun is Yūki's homeroom and math teacher.

Audio
I don't have to say much about the audio, other than it's well made and if you're watching it on crunchyroll or torrenting it; it's crystal clear.

Animation
The animation is amazing. Not many people realize this, but they put a lot of different material and a lot of different styles of animation into this series (Kind of like bakemonogatari, if you've ever seen that).

Final Thoughts
My final thought on this series is basically nothing but great. I haven't seen an anime like this in a while, and I thought I share my mind with you guys about it. Everything from the characters to audio to plot fits so well, and it makes it so much better to watch. I would definitely recommend this, and my final rating for this anime is a 9.5/10.

When I first heard this title, I thought the plot would be similar to Haganai. I'm really glad it wasn't.

Should I start on the manga first, or do the anime?
