Most emotional show you've ever seen? #1
What's the most emotional show you've ever seen? Or a show that was unexpectedly emotional?

I went into watching Grave of the Fireflies thinking it would be a cute kids film as it's from Ghibli. I could not have been more wrong. We could have replenished deserts with the amount of tears I cried from that show.

For me it is probably "Made in Abyss" and/or "The Promised Neverland", didn't expect either one of them to be that emotional at the beginning.

Oh? Without giving spoilers, what was the premise for those shows?

E.g. Grave of the Fireflies was set in wartime (which should have been enough of a clue for me haha).

On the grounds of defying expectations, I'd mention SAO's Mother's Rosario arc. Didn't expect the show to have much emotional factor after Alfheim, but Yuuki's arc was definitely something.

Uhm it's hard to explain it for either shoe without major spoilers to be honest :/.

All I can say for The Promised Neverland: it's uhm based around an orphanage, which already in itself is kinda sad but the whole plot behind it makes it kind of disturbing / emotional.

For Made in Abyss however, I really wouldn't be able to say much except for: a lot of experiments on people happened

When I watched this when I was younger, I don't remember being to emotional about SAO, but watching it back. more recently. It definitely was something.

Oooo Good one. It does feel like the show won't be able to be serious again, but they did a good arc for Yuuki.

Oooh, orphans or experiments are great grounds for some emotional moments. Thanks!

Finished Mother's Rosario Arc, and I watched a little bit of the GGO season.
