[Skullmeat]

I've watched so much anime that I've built up a nice little collection of "waifus," or just female characters that I enjoy. So, I decided to play a game of sorts, not only to share my favorites, but also to expose people here to some anime they may not be aware of.

The Rules:
1. No more than seven characters
2. A brief description of the character, and why you picked them
3. No spoilers, of course.

1. Cryska Barchenowa (Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse)


A Soviet TSF (Giant Mecha) pilot, and a esper, Cryska is on the surface, a no nonsense, hardened combat veteran. However, this is only because she knows nothing else, shes not as stoic as she seems, and is in fact, quite sweet, even naive. I'll admit, I'm a sucker for the type of character that has a tragic past, or the kind that has never been shown any real human kindness or emotion. Something about the cold exterior protecting a character that is either very emotional, or doesn't know how to deal with emotions, appeals to me.

2. Nyaruko (Haiyore! Nyaruko-san)


Nyaruko has boundless energy, is always positive (to a fault) and is obessesed with manga, anime, and other things that would make her be considered Otaku. She's incredibly cute, and would be a blast to hang out with. Did I mention she's actually Nyarlathotep, one of the great ones from the Cthulhu mythos?

3. Vert/Green Heart (Hyperdimension Neptunia)



One of the four goddeses of gameindustri, and leanbox's cpu, Vert is a hardcore gamer. She's still friendly to everyone, and is surprisingly intelligent, despite her looks. Vert would be great when you are feeling lazy. Just sit on the couch, play some games, and enjoy some company. It's a bonus she's got a killer rack.

4. Revy (Black Lagoon)


Revy is short tempered, skilled with weapons, and certifiably insane. Even so, she does have her soft side, even though she rarely shows it. Still, Revy's idea of a good time is booze, firearms, and mayhem, so I really don't mind.

5. Ikaros (Heaven's Lost Property)


Ikaros could best be described as childlike. She's quiet and naive. Still, don't let that fool you, she's millions of year old, and could destroy our planet with ease. Ikaros has no preconceived notions or opinions of anyone, and is fiercely loyal to those she cares about. I'm not super certain why I like her so much, maybe she just appeals to my protective instincts?

6. Medaka Kurokami (Medaka Box)


Kurokami believes that she can help anyone, no matter what their problem might be. She's energetic and friendly, and is more than willing to lend a sympathetic ear. Kurokami would be great to have around when you are feeling down.

7. Akeno Himejima (High School DxD)


Akeno is intelligent, friendly, and very well endowed. She's the type of girl that you could spend hours sitting around having a stimulating conversation with, and if you so desired, she could take care of your "other needs," even your darkest desires. Watch out for her sadistic side tho, shes a fan of S&M.
