Turn-based mobile RPG fun.





What is it?

Chain Chronicle is a free-to-play turn-based action mobile RPG by Sega and gumi. While not fully released to the US and other countries yet, it had a limited release in SEA countries, and if you had an Android (or switched regions on an iOS device), you could play it before the worldwide release. The goal of the game is to defeat all enemies that try to break your defense to the danger zone, as they try to wipe out anyone in their way. Check the trailer for gameplay! The game is set to release on the 8th of December, but you can sign up early here for a free gachapon ticket for a chance of getting a Rare and above unit.

What is it about?

The land of Yggdra is in peril from being overrun by the Black Army, after the death of the Holy King. A young hero conscripts as a captain leading his own force, the Volunteer Army, and is accompanied by the fairy Pirika and the mysterious amnesiac Phoena. As the trio bands together allies and friends to battle the enemy, they slowly start to uncover the mysteries behind the invasion...

Recruit and command different unit types such as soldiers, wizards, healers and more! Customize your equipment to personally suit each skirmish, and build bonds with your allies to discover abilities, relationships and hidden pasts.

Where can I download it?

If you want to play it now, you'll either have to change region on your iOS, or download the apk file for Android. Alternatively, you can wait for the official global release on December 8th.

Final notes

The cooldown rate for AP is pretty darn long, so don't expect to grind through everything all in one day - the game is meant to be casual.

The game will also feature crossovers from Maou, Atelier, and even Log Horizon and Danganronpa.

Interesting. I might download it on my android. Thanks for the recommendation. I could use a game I can casually pick up between classes. I hope this game doesn't turn into a horrible pay to win type of game. It looks like it has some potential. The artists that did the work for the game's gfx are godly, I'm impressed.
