the 980 doesn't decide alone if there is lag or not. Your CPU and other hardware also helps determine this. You could have 120943123 980's but have a shit CPU and like 1 GB RAM and not be able to play shit.

Every piece in his computer is maxed, It would be impossible to top his computer w/ 1k.
He's very knowledgable with computers. Talks on and on about things I don't even understand... lol.

Personally, I would never spend over 2k on a computer.

I didn't say I could beat it,  but I'm sure I could match it, there are no games out that require a 980, let alone 2. As well as processers and RAM requirements, 5K is just to boast that you spent 5K, not necessarily productivity. He will easily not need to upgrade ever, whereas with what I can build it might get outdated quicker. That's the only difference I've ever seen between expensive builds and true gaming rigs. IDK I just know I could do the same with less.

Oh yeah, for sure. Whenever I go to his house he is never using both the graphic cards. He always uses 1. LOL
