New anime recommendations? #1
I haven't been keeping up with new shows recently since I've been trying to watch everything on my plan to watch list, so I'm not really sure what new shows are good. Any recommendations from the summer and fall seasons of 2017? I've seen Kakegurui and Princess Principal, but that's about it. I've heard Made in Abyss and Mahoutsukai no Yome were good, but haven't seen them yet.

http://myanimelist.net/profile/CCShinoa is his MAL profile, so people know what he's watched.

I think you'd like Psycho Pass. It's not from 2017, but it is similar to other anime that you liked.

I dropped Psycho Pass half way through like 3 years ago. This was around when I stopped watching anime for half a year or so.

I might pick it back up sometime

A friend of mine just recently showed me the most fantastic anime I've ever seen. This is easily one of my top 3, along with Cowboy Bebop and Puella Magi Madoka Magica. This is Nyan~ Neko Sugar Girls:

Looks like it was made in MS-Paint, now the real question is why would anyone do something like this

Truly spectacular, easily a 10/10. The animation is absolutely flawless, easily surpassing Fate and Kotonoha no Niwa. The voice acting and overall audio is perfect, engineering such brilliancy is truly an impressive feat. Character development is spot-on and mixes perfectly with the plot, unlike many anime that focus on either plot development or character development more. I think I've found a new favorite anime

I just found out they're due to release more Steins;Gate in Spring 2018, which I'M SO EXCITED FOR. see here for MAL listing

There's also an alternative GGO if you're into SAO like me, more Full Metal Panic - Other shows I'm curious about in the coming season are below:
  • Juushinki Pandora
    Spoiler:
The new series is set in a near-future world where the boundary between human being and AI is vague. A rapid biological evolution, similar to "Cambrian Explosion," is caused by one incident. This incident turns into the genesis of a new jostle for supremacy, and the influence of the evolution goes beyond biological framework and spreads to various kinds of materials and technologies. The era of massive evolution involving diverse existences, such as human, machines, and biotechnologies, is coming. Characters fight an existential war in such a world.

  • Shiyan Pin Jiating
    Spoiler:
The series centers on a family where both parents are mad scientists, and where both brother and sister are modded humans called "creatures." The family members aim to become a "normal" family.

  • Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi
    Spoiler:
Female college student Aoi inherited her deceased grandfather's ability to see ayakashi. One day, while Aoi is feeding some ayakashi, a demon appears! He declares that Aoi's grandfather owed a great debt, and as compensation, Aoi must marry the demon! Aoi refuses, and decides to pay off the debt by working.

  • Caligula
    Spoiler:
Mobius is a perfect digital world for the imagined benefit of humanity by μ, a virtual idol program that attained sentience and self-awareness. Only humans who are suffering in the real world and strongly relate to μ's songs are lured into Mobius.

Once they enter, people often forget that the real world exists. Regardless of age or gender, they are turned into students and forced to experience school life over and over, which μ considers "the most radiant time in a person's life."

  • Steins;Gate 0
    Spoiler:
The dark untold story of Steins;Gate that leads with the eccentric mad scientist Okabe, struggling to recover from a failed attempt at rescuing Kurisu. He decides to give up and abandons his lively scientist alter ego, in pursuit to forget the past. When all seems to be normal, he is seemingly pulled back into the past by meeting an acquaintance of Kurisu, who tells him that they have begun testing a device that stores the memory of a human and creates a simulation of them with their characteristics and personalities. Okabe begins testing and finds out that the simulation of Kurisu has brought back anguish and some new unexpected tragedies.

Zero is a side story that explores events from the Beta Attractor Field's future that contribute in making the end of the original story possible.

^ I just added all of the above to my Kitsu.io want to watch lists. Added synopsis in the spoilers for each one I'm curious enough about to try an episode or so on.
