In my opinion (purely opinion) Flash will still be phased out and replaced by HTML5 completely so it makes no difference but I think the reason they skyrocketed was because people think that Flash will now maybe make a come back?

Has anyone taken In to consideration that "Adobe themselves" could have caused the vulnerability?

Then Issued a patch for the purpose of Increasing their stocks?

To be honest, this wouldn't come as a surprise to me. Flash player has had probably millions of vulnerabilities over the years and it would actually seem as if they left serious vulnerabilities in there just to do exactly that, patch in order to increase their stocks.

HTML5 is the future. I made the decision to drop Flash player about 2 years ago. The day that Adobe Flash player is extinct is the day I will party my ass off on its grave. I'm hoping the death is a slow and painful one too.

RE: New Flash Vulnerability Patch #5
html5 cant replace flash 100%. The things that html5 will replace are those things that flash were forced into compensating for because of html's lack of compliance such as video players.

until html5 uses a strictly typed OO programming language with a huge toolset of powerful libraries and the ability to render with the GPU for 2d and 3d games running at high framerates it cannot & will not completely replace flash.
Oh shit whaddup!

Basically this. HTML making up for the stuff it couldn't before. Flash is bad now and should only be used for certain things.
