The takeoff of a rocket consumes a lot of energy and more lam onter of dust which is created that pollutes a lot.
So using a reusable rocket it does not change anything at each takeoff it will consume as much energy.
We do not have to make a new rocket but by dint of reusing a rocket it will be damaged.

Spacex on send satellites into space which again polishes space.
The earth and already surrounded by satellite and space waste.

Given that SpaceX is an Elon Musk venture, I believe the technology will become more economical as it develops.

As for climate change right now, I don't think these changes will happen in time. But, I would also argue a singular space launch is nothing compared to the pollution we individually contribute to, due to our way of life. Unless you live sustainably in a forest, it's a bit hypocritical to judge a space launch.

Forgive me, you misunderstood. I was saying we are all hypocritical if we are complaining about a man not doing more for our planet, who has done more for our planet than any of us complainers.

That system you talk of, exists only because we, as collective individuals, have made it that way. It is our fault. All of us. You are at fault, as am I.

Also, may I point out Musk is already celebrated for his progress is electric cars and sun city. Both of which are significant contributions and things he was well known for before SpaceX. I'd recommend you read into his ventures. It's really interesting.

I am as guilty as everyone of course I understood you.

I read musk exploits and I don't question his technological advancement but I don't consider him a genius but more like an investor who has a good idea.
Maybe my mind are distort by what I read about him.

He has employees who work for him and help him enormously but he takes all the credit in my eyes.
The strength of musk are it's idea but above all everyone behind him who helps him realize it's idea.

He made electric cars it's very good but we will never have enough electricity to get everyone to switch to electric cars. it should sooner bend over to look for a system to have enough power. but he prefers to go on mars...
Going to mars brings us nothing, but that everyone runs on electricity here is a big step for man.
Here is why I find this expenditure of energy and means to go to Mars absolutely null.

Relating to the launch - just watched it and am very pleased they made it safely. That was an epic thing to watch. I was really surprised at how many cameras they had rigged up. Wishing them all the best of luck for their 19 hour flight to ISS.

I was especially impressed by the cameras rigged up on the re-usable Falcon 9 rocket, so we could watch that landing on the drone ship. I honestly don't know how they did it, but it's a big step for commercial travel to space.

I've viewed some parts of the video, and It's so exciting to see precisely what's going on In orbit. I plan to watch the whole thing later this evening.

I've got it running live while I'm working. It was great to watch the astronauts show where and how they've been living for the last 15 hours, even explaining how good their sleep was. It's also incredibly sweet to see a small dinosaur toy (belonging to one of their sons I believe) that's joined them for the ride!
