NASA Lab Hacked Using A $25 Raspberry Pi Computer #1
Quote:Raspberry Pi is a teeny-tiny device that can be tinkered with to gain deceptively high capabilities. This has been proved by a recent report which confirmed that a NASA lab was hacked using a Raspberry Pi.

The breach occurred in April 2018 where NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) was hacked and 500MB of data from major mission systems was stolen.

A federal report of the incident confirmed that a Raspberry Pi was used to gain access to the system. It also highlighted the major security lapses that were present in NASA’s network for about a decade and made the breach possible.

Well NASA deserves it if they had network vulnerabilities from a decade ago. When you're that bick you have to stay up to date with exploits.

Part of the problem is that JPL plays both sides when it wants. When they don't want to do what NASA wants, they say, "We don't have to listen to you. We're Caltech." Conversely, when it is beneficial, they will say, "We're not Caltech, we're NASA".
Because of this, they maneuver around whatever they don't like while reaping the benefits of both sides. I can't really wrap my head around the fact that they're still being funded by the government.

This clearly demonstrates that any company on any scale, Is susceptible to exploitation.

This is actually really sad. Considering that they were able to get in with a blackberry.

Cmon NASA, get your shit together.
