NASA Confirm They've Found Flowing Water On Mars #1
Quote:Humans are one massive step closer to finding life somewhere else in the universe after NASA announced they’ve found flowing water on Mars.

Ever since NASA announced they had solved a major mystery on the Red Planet a few days ago, the world has been waiting with baited breath as to what it could be.

Why is this discovery significant though? Well, NASA have confirmed that ‘dark fingers’ spotted in images are likely made by liquid moving across the surface

This is the first evidence of this kind ever found and provides proof that life could have either existed before or is yet to exist on another planet.

Polar ice caps were found nearly four decades ago but scientists for a long time thought it had all evaporated into space. But now Mars is considered an icy desert, evidence of flowing water changes everything even the top scientists in the world knew about Mars.

People had been hoping NASA would announce they’d found life on Mars and when the press conference was first announced, people couldn’t help but go into a frenzy about what the announcement could be…

Isn't Mars too cold to have liquid water? I know completely pure water (eg laboratory water) has a much lower freezing temperature than normal earth H2O, but unless Mars somehow has magical water than can remain in liquid form despite the average temperature of -57*C (down to -133*C at night) I'd be a little bit skeptical of this. Edit: Mars doesn't have air, I'm gay.

Also why can't we just work on staying on Earth for as long as we can rather than trying to make a new less suitable Earth on fucking Mars?

From the looks of the image it looks to be flowing under the ground and seeping into the soil, so possibly it could be that it's warm under the soil of Mars. Also it'd be wonderful if we could live here forever, but due to the Industrial Revolution and greedy corporations, and a clueless population that has no clue what they're doing to the environment, that just isn't possible.

All we need now is to find life on another planet to show that we are not alone in the universe.

It's saline water. Which means very very salty.

There is still technology existent right now on our planet that can make salt water drinkable.

Yet it is still inefficient on earth, let alone Mars. Hopefully this leads to NASA researching and developing better saline to drinkable water technologies, that can be applied throughout the world in poverty ridden counties.

We can technically live on mars just not the same exact way we live on earth at least not for a while.

mars-one.com is a real program its not fake what they are doing is legit and is going to happen of course the first crew that goes up some time in like the late 2020's is pretty much the ones who will know for sure. Either way if they fail at it Nasa is still going to send humans to mars and do more testing.

But lets not forget even though right now mars is the planet we can reach that has potential to be changed there is still other planets in habitable zones much like earth that Nasa is working on the technology to get to but it probably won't be in any of our lifetimes assuming we don't destroy our own planet before then.

That explains a lot.
