My idea for windows 8 apps #1
link: http://visualstudio.uservoice.com/forums...ows-8-apps

Quote:As a windows forms dev using gdi+ it's pretty hard to get used to wpf especially with adding buttons etc dynamicly. MY idea is to make a small customized version of windows forms for windows 8 apps so it will be easier to create them.

I would like this as it will be easier to create windows 8 apps with dynamic controls.

Please give your opinion on this and vote if you like the idea.

This idea doesn't make much sense, you can already easily create dynamic controls with Windows store apps.

I need to add them customly and that's pretty hard way harder than windows forms.

Why? It's still a drag and drop interface. Plus you can even in addition to DirectX, create controls via JS/HTML5/CSS. If anything it is easier, and you've got more options than Windows Forms.. Is this "idea" a lazy excuse not to try something new or?

No I have always preffered windows forms and I'm dissapointed that it isn't an option in windows 8 apps

Is it available for games? So why would it make sense for Windows 8 store apps? They are essentially built for touchscreen. Who wants to fool around with Windows form apps on a device like a surface? Or some other tablet like touchscreen device?

Windows Forms are for desktop programs, nothing else...
