My future server set-up #1
Hello, [username]

Lately I have taken a huge interest in networking, I have 3 dell poweredge 750's. They all have 4GB RAM, Intel celeron 2Ghz & 250GB HDD. They are great as a small network to work on and learn. Anyways I plan to upgrade to a PC build server, I thought I would share the components I have picked. This server will be running windows 2012 server r2.

For the motherboard I have picked a ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VI. http://goo.gl/6naVBe

For the processor I have picked a Intel i7 4930K Six-Core. http://goo.gl/unkVct

For the case I have picked a Corsair Carbide. http://goo.gl/tjNkRZ

For the fans I have picked 4x BitFernix and Corsair Hydro. http://goo.gl/zfoH8j http://goo.gl/HScCXX

For the RAM I have picked G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB. http://goo.gl/HScCXX

For the power source I have picked Seasonic Platinum. http://goo.gl/7qTMCl

For the storage I have picked Adata 256GB SSD. http://goo.gl/8EUvZT

For the graphics card I have picked ASUS GeForce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5. http://goo.gl/h9SY3U

Some of you may think its over kill but it is necessary for the purpose im buying it for. My small company Kryptex, Inc needs a server that can handle our encryption and compression with ease. We have done tests on our everyday computers and its just not fast enough. This build is worth roughly $2,500, we plan to use this for years to come and with the parts I picked it should do the job just fine.

Tests we did:
----------------------------------------------------
Encryption: Permutation, 1.1 minutes
Decryption: Permutation, 1.7 minutes
Total: 2.8 minutes

Encryption: Shift, .2 minutes
Decryption: Shift, .5 minutes
Total: .7 minutes

46 byte file, plain text.
----------------------------------------------------

Encryption: Permutation, 3.9 minutes
Decryption: Permuattion, 6.1 minutes
Total: 10 minutes

Encryption: Shift,
Decryption: Shift,
Total:

255 byte, plain text.
----------------------------------------------------

As you can see from my test our code needs an over haul so that it encrypts and decrypts faster, with this server we plan to test and see how fast we can get it to work. If you have any suggestions or insight feel free to contribute.

Seems like more than enough for an average webserver, but if you REALLY need that much power, and it's fast enough, than go right ahead. You should optimize your code anyway though, I'm sure you'll be using the program more and more as your company grows, and you don't want to have to buy new hardware when a few hours could save you a large chunk of money.

@bluedog.tar.gz I have used Google shortener to shorten my URL's, is that ok?

I don't see any problems in using that.
