They skinned the dog alive! Wtf! That was tough to see. I probably sympathize more with dogs because we domesticate them and I own them. But damn, shits brutal. And I've also seen food inc which I'm gonna assume was the video you posted.
You're "its just food" comment is probably why he said what he said to you. That part wasn't really necessary, since its obviously not just food. Plus, the video already evokes strong emotions so a blunt comment by anyone will set them off.

People and their emotions. I just hide my emotions. I tell people how it is. I don't care what they think about me but I'm right, people must do what they have to do. The narrator stated that they skin the dog alive because it's faster. That way they make more money, faster. To feed their families. To induce more profit, they do what is needed to be done. And the video I mentioned was "From Farm to Fridge" Very horrific. The video on the dogs only stated about 2 points. They crudely ship the animal. And they skin the animal. The video on American food proved more points.

There has to be a healthy medium between productivity and ethical grounds, or even respect. Even purely instinctive animals will kill their prey before the feast.
It becomes a problem when the thought of money turns you into a thoughtless, barbaric monster. Are we to really let businesses or the smell of cash make us go against what we know is right? The thing about humans is that we can think logically and rationally, where there is no reason to brutally murder the animals. We have the resources and knowledge to harmlessly kill the animals while still remaining effective.
There are still many farms that do things safe and effectively and not letting the image of a saved penny throw away all of their morals and sympathy.

No. You can blame chicken for that.

Do you get as perturbed as you are now when you see how they kill chickens? Why are you being so bias? It's natural selection. Survival of the fittest.

They could kill them quicker, it would be less cruel but whatever. I agree with you , it happens everywhere and without meat the world would slowly die.
