much like large events in the past, those who were old enough to remember, will always remember where they were the morning of 09/11/2001

I'm all for mourning the dead, but the fact that 9/11 is made into such a big deal each year is a slap in the face to all the other victims of terrorist attacks like Oklahoma bombings, which remains the biggest terrorist attack on US soil by local terrorist groups.

I'm with Skullmate on this one; statistically speaking, civilian casualties in the 4 digit zone are peanuts in war/crime/terrorism

When you think about it though, 9/11 was the biggest attack on US soil by an outside group since pearl harbor. Oklahoma was a domestic, single guy so it's not as good for paranoia fodder.
EDIT: Also, today doesn't mark the 13th anniversary of Oklahoma, it's the 13th anniversary of 9/11.
