Movie theater shooting #1
What in the actual fuck is wrong with people these days. I cannot even explain how badly this pisses me off and upsets me.

http://www.cnn.com/2015/07/24/us/louisia...index.html

This reminds me of the 2012 shooting for the dark night rises.

I believe in gun rights but honestly new gun laws need to be put into place seriously.

This Is a classic example as to why I refuse to watch and read the news.

It's all negative, only a few minutes of sport and weather and the rest Is about murders, rapes, terrorists etc. There's too many sick people, and not enough law enforcement agencies and preventative measures.

Because its a copycat?

People are mentally ill, and a lot feel ignored. They see someone else who's apparently mentally ill on the news for WEEKS and MONTHS of coverage on what they did for maybe an hour. That attention that the media gives them is what drives these people, because honestly, they are absolute attention whores.

Case in point, Aurora shooter, told people and tried to get people to pay attention to him and said to people "I'm gonna kill people". People ignored it, so he moved on to what he thought would get him attention.

The less glorified coverage of every fucking miniscule detail these "news outlets" have for months at a time, the better.

It does not benefit any victims by doing so, does not benefit your watchers/readers/etc, does not benefit law enforcement, and sometimes actually impedes them from continuing a sensitive investigation, and only serves to make an example.

If you go and waste your life and murder people, we'll put you on every headline like a god damn celebrity for as long as we can.

It's as if you can become a celebrity by being a violent criminal... the news channels have everything backwards.

Exactly I go to CNN for sources and a head of time warnings because I am a prepper, even though CNN twists there shit around they still post decent information and as a prepper knowing as much as possible about whats coming up, happening, might happen, etc is important.

But all the murder ones and massacres is ridiculous.

I don't feel like writing another reply but what SIX said is "People are mentally ill" yes that may be the case but there is still preventative measures that can be put in place to ensure these mentally ill people cannot get a hold of guns.

Mentally ill people with the possibility of becoming violent should not have guns, Criminals with a record of violence should not have guns. Sure there is no way to stop them from getting guns illegally but as for getting guns from gun shops, etc it needs to be a no.

Ok no. Removing an avenue does not prevent, and honestly, obviously those preventative measures aren't working. Remove the cause of the problem, don't just try to make it more difficult.

The only way to remove the cause of the problem is to disarm all Americans which voids our rights. Some people need guns to make a living weather it be hunting, farming, protecting crops, etc.

Guns are bad but they are good. Personally I prefer bows and arrows but I still have a rifle which would be used for hunting for food and protecting my family if need be. It has not even had a round shot off for over 2 years and all it was used for so far was just target practice for fun.

Sigh... Guns are not the CAUSE of the problem, otherwise before guns existed there would be no murders, and people wouldn't murder with knives or any other medium.

They are merely am avenue. Rather sick of people blaming the gun, its the person behind it, and it'd be the person behind it any other way, be it behind a knife, arson, car, etc.
